Fall Has Arrived, And With It Comes The Time Of Harvest And Thanksgiving!

IMG_1883Finally, the weather has cooled down, the leaves have turned color, and Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Not only is this a fun time to enjoy as a family as we look ahead to Thanksgiving, but it is also a time when we look forward to serving our neighborhood and teaching about all that we have to be thankful for all year long. And as the weather continues to turn, we have already given away loads of blankets, coats, gloves and sleeping bags, and it’s just the beginning!

After a busy September that involved traveling the country from coast to coast, it was wonderful to spend October just as intent on ministry and building relationships in Denver.

In the picture above, you see a team who traveled to Denver from Green River, Wyo., to be with us for two days. They helped serve at Community Dinner and deep cleaned our building. In the photo they are sorting through blankets, sleeping bags, coats, hats and gloves in preparation for heading out to the streets to distribute them.

In the next photo, you see Isaac pictured with three panelists at a minister’s luncheon in Denver. Isaac was privileged to serve as the moderator for the discussion, which focused on “Making Our Communities Safe For Everyone.” The woman on the right who is speaking is the Director of Community Affairs from the Denver Mayor’s Office. It is such a privilege to be part of a city-wide effort to reach our neighborhoods for Christ.

Our November 5 Community Dinner will be our 129th consecutive week of sharing Jesus with Five Points around the dinner table. It is such an honor to know the people in our community. We’ve been going through the Gospel of Matthew during the Christ Story each week. The Word of God is so capable of changing lives, and we should never forget it! All we have to do is be faithful in sharing the Gospel, inviting people into our lives, and loving them right where they’re at. Then, God does what only He can do.
